After graduation Alexia pursued her passion for live theatre and historic costume production, working at Opera North and Pitlochry Festival Theatre. She joined the costume department that Royal Opera House Covent Garden in 2011 where she has since worked on numerous productions of ballet and opera, both new works and re-stagings.
Alexia has gained further experience with engagements at English National Opera (including Terry Gilliam’s “The Damnation of Faust” ), the National Theatre, Sadlers Wells and the Young Vic, and is regularly engaged by touring ballet and theatre companies including New English Ballet Theatre and Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.
Alexia specialises in bespoke occasion wear and fusion styling celebrating her keen interest in pop culture and historically influenced design. She now works independently as a costume and fashion designer and maker, creating costumes, props and garments for a variety of events and productions.
